Teaching

The language course follows the twelve volumes of the Zhongwen series, the textbook used by Chinese schools abroad. It moves at roughly one volume a year, with an assessment at the end of each module, up to the levels that prepare for HSK certification.

Classes are grouped by level. Before enrolment a short placement test establishes the starting point — it applies equally to a child who speaks Chinese at home and needs to learn to read and write, and to one starting from nothing.

Alongside the language there is brush writing, diction and reading aloud, singing and art. The full list is under Courses.
