Privacy notice

What the site's forms collect, why we collect it and how long we keep it.

This page explains what personal data the school's website collects, why, and for how long we keep it. The site uses no profiling cookies and no third-party tracking.

Who handles the data

The data controller is Zig Zag Academy, which runs the Chinese language school in Varese and Busto Arsizio, with campuses at Piazza della Motta 4, 21100 Varese (VA) and Via Giacomo Leopardi 5, 21052 Busto Arsizio (VA). For any request about personal data, use the form on the Contact page or the telephone number given there.

What we collect

Only what you type into the site's two forms.

  • Contact form: name, email address, telephone (optional), subject and message.
  • Enrolment form: student's name and age, parent or guardian's name, email address, telephone, chosen campus and course, and an optional message.
  • Automatically on each submission: IP address, site language and the page you came from. These are used only to limit abuse of the forms.

The site has no visitor login and creates no accounts.

Why

To answer your request and, for enrolment, to take the steps that precede joining a course. The IP address is kept on the basis of the school's legitimate interest in protecting the forms from automated submissions.

The enrolment form concerns children: the data is provided by the parent or guardian.

Cookies and statistics

We use no tracking, profiling or advertising cookies, and no third-party service follows your browsing.

  • A single technical cookie is set on pages that contain a form, to stop that form being submitted from another site. It expires when you close the browser.
  • Visit statistics are collected by software installed on the school's own server: they are aggregate, use no cookies, do not identify the visitor, and respect the browser's Do Not Track setting.

Where the data stays

Messages stay on the school's own server, inside the European Union. They are not sold, not passed to third parties for commercial purposes, and not transferred outside the EU.

For how long

As long as it takes to answer, and for enrolments as long as the school is dealing with the family. After that they are deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a copy. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
